• This article is our Black Garment-Weight (Plongé) Cowhide, a lightweight, chrome-tanned leather sourced and finished in South America. Designed for garment and lining use, it features a semi-aniline finish with a smooth, satin surface that highlights the natural grain while maintaining a clean, even appearance.
• Soft and fluid with a drape similar to lambskin, this leather moves gracefully and has a refined, supple touch. Despite its light weight, it offers strong durability and excellent color consistency thanks to the protective semi-aniline coating. The surface presents a subtle satin sheen — not glossy, not matte — giving it an elevated, modern character suitable for both outer and inner applications.
• Because of its fine grain and pliable body, this leather performs exceptionally well for garments and luxury linings. While it can be used for small accessories or light upholstery, it is highly recommended as a lining leather for footwear, handbags, and garments, as well as for orthopedic or comfort footwear where softness and breathability are key.
