How much leather do I need?
6.5 yards × 18 = 117 sq ft. Waste allowance is already inside that conversion.
Hides are irregular and grain direction limits how pieces nest. Plan on 15-25% above your measured area - more for large single panels, less for small pieces.
Order every hide for one piece at the same time. Colour varies between dye lots and matching a hide bought two months later is not something anyone can promise.
