  • This distressed leather is made from full grain, natural grain cowhide — not corrected or buffed — with the same soft, drapey hand as our deer-tanned articles. The surface retains its natural pebble grain, with no grain correction, giving each hide a rich, authentic character.
  • Finished in a “saddle-tanned” style with a wax topcoat, the leather has a rich, oily feel and develops visible weathering and patina with use. The wax finish enhances depth of color and highlights the grain pattern, while also helping the leather resist light moisture. The hides are drum-dyed for full color penetration, ensuring consistent tone when flexed or bent.
  • At ~20 Sq Ft per hide, these sides offer generous cutting area for large panels, while their supple drape makes them suitable for both structured and unstructured projects.   • Let it dry naturally

    If the leather gets wet, blot it and leave it to air-dry at room temperature. Avoid hairdryers, radiators and direct heat.

  • Store it without hard folds

    Keep it flat or loosely rolled, away from prolonged sunlight. Sharp folds can become permanent creases.

Upholstery Leather Swatch Ring Our complete ring includes samples of our whole-hide, upholstery-grade leathers. Each swatch has a QR code that links directly to the corresponding product, making it easy to review and reorder. It is ideal for interior designers, upholstery shops, automotive shops, and businesses that work with leather regularly.

Leather is a natural material, and hides carry markings from the animal's life — scars, insect bites, wrinkles, brands, and grain variations. These characteristics are not defects; they're inherent to genuine leather. Full-grain and natural leathers show more of these markings because they preserve the hide's original surface. Corrected-grain and heavily finished leathers minimize visible imperfections. We disclose any significant markings or quality issues upfront so you can make informed decisions.

Yield varies depending on the type of leather, the size of the hide, and the presence of natural markings. On average, expect 70-85% usable material from a full hide. The neck, belly, and edges may have looser grain or be too thin for certain applications. Plan your patterns to work around natural imperfections and maximize usable area.

Because leather is a natural material and each hide is unique, we encourage you to order swatches before purchasing full hides.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for leather that is unused, uncut and in its original packaging. A 20% restocking fee applies ($10 minimum). It covers our original shipping and the prepaid return label we send you.

Scrap, swatches, clearance, sale items and custom projects are final sale.
